The AI chat activity is structured and guided — it's not an open-ended chatbot. If a student asks a question outside the lesson, it will redirect them back.
All AI interactions are age-appropriate, curriculum-focused and monitored by Reel Genius.
The AI promotes critical thinking – it doesn’t do the thinking for the student.

Teacher visability

When your child uses Reel Genius in class, their teacher can see their activity and progress on the platform
As a parent, you can see your child’s status activity from your dashboard

What a typical Reel Genius lesson looks like:

Students watch a 2–3-minute film clip

A short, curriculum-relevant scene from a real movie or TV show. It immediately grabs attention and sets the context for the lesson.

An AI avatar educator guides theme explanation

The avatar introduces the learning objectives and connects the film to the subject.

AI Chat exercise to ensure comprehension

Age-appropriate questions prompt students to explore the topic. The AI uses follow-up prompts to build critical thinking and provides immediate feedback.

There are two ways to get your child onto Reel Genius.
‍Once your child has access to Reel Genius, you can manage their account from your dashboard at any time.

Either way, you're in control.

Path A: Your child requests access and you approve through email

Your child signs up for an account.

You receive an email approval request from Reel Genius.

Click approve in the email and you'll be prompted to create your free parent account (takes about 2 minutes).

Once your account is set up, you will be prompted to provide your child with access.

Path B: You create an account and invite your child

Create your free parent account (takes about 2 minutes).

Invite your child from your dashboard.

They get an invitation through email and accept.

Your child then has access to their Reel Genius lessons.
